  Poisoned Rose When Margot returned to the quiet village of Saint-Laurent, everyone whispered about her. She had left ten years ago, chasing dreams in Paris and leaving Étienne Delacroix, her first love, behind. Now, she was back, desperate and in trouble. Étienne saw her at the harvest festival and tried to avoid her, but she cornered him. “I need your help,” she said. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Étienne replied coldly. “I robbed a bank,” she admitted. “I was tricked.
